Welcome to Lycka Form

The designer Mia Svalänge at Lycka Form in Leksand, Sweden, wants through her products to remind us of the patterns, materials and colour combinations that were created by older generations. Many years ago life revolved around the homestead. Just as today, beautiful colours and patterns were appreciated, decorating both day-to-day life and festivities. A rich tradition of patterns has developed from the women's looms down through generations. These patterns are being brought forward as a part of our heritage. Our fantastic treasures-trove of pattern are disappearing. The layout and designs that for suck a long time have beautified people's lives deserve to be experienced yet again. But in a new way. In our collection we work with traditional patterns and designs in a contemporary way. The idea is to combine the old with the new.

The Leksand Blanket is inspired by the aprons of the Leksand folk costume. The costumes change according to the church´s celebrations, seasonal and community highpoints. The Leksand Blanket is made in Sweden in 100% wool. Size: 150 x 205 cm. Colours: red, black, blue and yellow.

The inspiration for the round handmade woolen rug comes from a purse belonging to the Leksand folk costume. The rug is available in two different sizes and is made in 100% wool. Sizes: diameter of 150 cm or 190 cm. Box with a traditional pattern from Dalecarlia in Sweden. The box is suitable as a mailbox or used for storage. The tin box can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is available in five colours. Size: 28 x 39 x 12,5 cm.

At home in her studio in the village of Lycka in Dalecarlia in Sweden the designer Mia Svalänge brings out the old traditional patterns in a new contemporary way. The inspiration for her first collection was found in the Leksand folk costume.
